Ignoring Files During a Deploy

Last Updated: Apr 19, 2017 10:37AM EDT

It’s common to want to ignore files when deploying applications to Xervo. The command line tools supports this feature through the use of .xervoignore files.

To use, simply put a .xervoignore file at the root of your project folder with the desired ignore rules.

The format of a .xervoignore file is exactly that of a .gitignore file. Here’s an example that ignores any files named “text-ignore.txt”.

# Ignore file for Example Project

When the CLI bundles your application for upload, any files or folders specified in the .xervoignore file will be skipped.
